The Bigger Picture

"The ears of someone whose eyes are examining the tip of a fine hair do not hear the peal of thunder; the eyes of someone whose ears are tuning a musical instruction do not see enormous mountains. Thus when there is fixation of attention on small things, then there is forgetfulness of great things"
- from the Went-zu

Is your leadership focusing on the minute picture or are they keeping the larger image in front. How i view this it is the managerial teams responsibility to view the small short term goals - the Leadership Executive Director, C-Level leadership, Creates and develops longer term missions for the group to focus. A constant communication (transparency) to allow manager and director C-Level leadership (whatever you call it) and need for re-calibration to follow the mountains that are the organizational plan.
What are your thoughts?
