Transformation–The Mark of a Master Coach
Fran Ritzenthaler and Donna Hartney

Location: New Era Cap, 160 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14202
Date and Time: February 6, 2009: 9:30 to noon

Coaching is an excellent tool for improving individual performance in the workplace. At a minimum it adds value by helping clients address immediate, pressing needs. At its best coaching is a transformational experience that helps clients overcome their most troublesome blocks to performance, achieve performance excellence, and build their capacity to achieve ever-higher performance levels. Being a catalyst for transformation is the mark of a master coach. Join us in this highly interactive session where Fran and Donna will share their thinking about and experience in transformational coaching.

This session will include a thought-provoking presentation on transformation and strategies for achieving it drawn from performance-relevant research in the neurosciences. Participants will also engage in informative and entertaining experiential activities that will put to the test their knowledge and their ability to create performance breakthroughs.

Learning Outcomes:

- Identify the hallmarks of transformation
- Understand why building the capacity for change is key to transformation
- Apply three techniques to break through to transformation
- Explore recent advances in the neurosciences that change how we think about transformation
- Recognize eight pitfalls to transformational coaching
