Buffalo B_Team

I had the honor of serving as facilitator for the Buffalo B_Team's board meeting.
The focus was on improving communications within the organizations members, with a focus on their leadership.
In the 2 hours we spent together the members gained greater strength from communicating a clear goal and focus on how they see the B_Team.
Additionally we opened the door for greater clarity on the B_Team's mission.

You may be asking what is the Buffalo B_Team? look below for the answer.

Innovate new solutions
by making what seems impossible possible!

Develop team decision making
by limiting repeated processes

Facilitate team members to find Internal Motivation
to solve Problems

Laugh and enjoy yourselves as a Team!

What is the Buffalo B_Team?

Our mission is simple: “If it’s good for the City of Buffalo (and its suburbs), then it’s worth talking about.
We accept the fact that every idea and proposal that we hear or come up with can’t possibly be accomplished. We don’t plan on rebuilding the Peace Bridge or building a new waterfront. But, why not talk about it? That’s what sets The B_Team apart from the numerous grassroots organizations in Buffalo.

We want to work with everyone and hear everyone’s ideas. YOU make The B_Team what it is because you are the “doers”.

And if there’s one thing I’m sure we can agree on, it’s that Buffalo needs less “talkers” and more “doers”.
It’s PEOPLE that make this region what it is.

We accept that we don’t have a World-Class sports arena or the tallest buildings in the country. We know that we have miles of wasted waterfront and we can’t seem to figure out how to fix it.
What we DO have is PEOPLE, good people who care about their home town. That is a strength that other cities only dream of. Can you imagine another city in the country where half of the population get together on a weekend and celebrate food? This is a real power that this City has. The problem is that they don’t recognize it.

This is why The B_Team exists. If we could even reach half of those people who brave the Buffalo Summer heat to eat chicken wings and inspire them to put the same effort into IMPROVING the city, what a great place this could be.
We don’t want you to just volunteer in Buffalo. We want you to be Inspired by Buffalo.
